- Nominations. If you nominate someone, we collect what you submit: your name and contact details, the nominee's name, and the information you share about them.
- Contact. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
- Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
How we use it
We use your information to send the newsletter you asked for, to review and follow up on nominations, to answer your messages, and to operate and secure the website. We may contact a nominee or the person who nominated them while reporting a story.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run GAMECHANGER, and only for that purpose: our email platform (Kit) to send newsletters, and our hosting provider (Netlify) to run the site and receive form submissions. We may also disclose information if required by law.
Third-party content
Some stories include embedded YouTube videos, served in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, and our pages load fonts from Google Fonts. These services may collect information such as your IP address under their own privacy policies. Links to other websites, including our source links, are governed by those websites' policies.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
- Ask us what information we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing stories@game---changer.com.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Nominations must be submitted by someone 18 or older. If a nomination concerns a minor, the person submitting it should be the minor's parent or guardian or have their permission. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
How long we keep it
We keep subscriber information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and nomination information for as long as we need it to evaluate and report stories.
Security
We use reputable service providers and reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date.
